Tow Truck Destroys Yoshinoya Restaurant after LA Crash

Truck drivers often get tired after hours of driving to and fro the Los Angeles city. This causes fatigue which sometimes reduces the driver's ability to focus on the road and prevent colliding with road objects. Worse, they hit pedestrians and nearby shops.

Just like the accident case of a tow truck which crashed into a Yoshinoya restaurant in West Beverly Boulevard on Thursday.

According to reports, the tow truck carrying a pick up plowed into the fast food restaurant in Wilshire Center. A crew member sustained critical injuries and six others suffered minor injuries.

Paramedics arrived and rushed the four victims to a local hospital. Police officers said that the restaurant's front, tables, and some support beams were damaged. Authorities requested the tenants on the second floor to leave the building until repair was completed.

Driver inattention due to fatigue is considered a negligent act in California. When drivers are dizzy or drowsy they have to pull over and rest for a while to regain strength. They can also call police officers to seek help and prevent collision.

On worse cases, Driving under the Influence (DUI) or speeding aggravate driving condition and result to catastrophic crashes. Both driving violations carry stringent penalties under California law.

It is not yet clear what caused the truck collision, but if the driver pleaded guilty to any of the above traffic law violation examples; he will have to prepare a huge sum for damages payment.

Twilight Star Kristen Stewart Unscathed in LA Collision

Parallel parking is the new trouble of Kristen Stewart as she tries to navigate between cars in Hollywood on Thursday.

The young actress was spotted in Hollywood talking with another woman after a fender bender crash in Los Angeles.

According to reports, Stewart was trying to parallel park when her black Mini Cooper struck the vehicle’s front. She and the other car driver were unhurt after the accident.

Stewart seemed to have difficulty perfecting the S-turn and bumped into the other vehicle. Stewart, nevertheless, was cooperative in exchanging information with the other party, reports said.

Good thing "Bella Swan" was able to get out of her Mini Cooper unscathed. She was also able to show her insurance policy that helped seal the conversation with the other driver. She may not be an expert at parking her car, but she is a financially responsible motorist.

Purchasing an insurance policy for your new car is important as well as mandatory under California driving laws. To prove, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will ask for your insurance certificate before granting or renewing your driver’s license. When police officers caught you without one on LA streets, it can mean a traffic ticket plus legal consequences.

If you experience a similar fender bender crash with another driver who does not carry insurance to cover your injuries or car damage, you can consult a lawyer to help you.

Your Personal Injury attorney in Los Angeles will assist you in filing an Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist insurance claim or file a formal lawsuit. For more information, dial our toll free number at 1-866-772-2889 or email us at info@mesriani.com for a free case analysis.

Swing Set Recalled for Lack of Assembly Instructions

A product must not come out in public unless it has been tested as safe to use. Tests for safety should be made especially if it is intended for children.

Moreover, whenever a defect has been found to exist in certain products, the same should be recalled immediately. Recall should be made without waiting for any report of injury.

Recently, U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled 1,950 Little Tikes Clubhouse Swing Set because it did not include assembly directions for its seat harness.

Consumers were ordered to stop using the recalled swing sets until they have obtained and read the assembly instructions for its harness by accessing the manufacturer’s website.

In this case, the product was not really defective. The defect, if there was, lies on the non-inclusion of its assembly instructions in the set. Recalling the swing set might be a harsh consequence but the product was complicated to begin with that instruction on how to set up must be at hand during the assembly process.

It is a good thing no children were reportedly injured. However, should someone appear to have been injured, a product liability case may be filed against the swing manufacturer. A damage suit may be pursued through the assistance of a personal injury attorney.

When Water Disaster Strikes

High waves and strong water currents entice surfers to strut their surfing skills. But these conditions could be extremely dangerous that surfers suffer from injuries or even death.

In Newport Beach, a lifeless surfer was pulled out of the water by the Wedge lifeguards. The man was seen surfing near the Wedge when 20 feet high waves came upon him. Lifeguards pulled the man out of the water and into a boat and transported him back to the shore.

The man was brought to Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian where he died.

Despite the incident, the Wedge was still open to those who want to swim and surf.

In San Clemente, however, officials closed its 1, 200-foot-long fishing pier. The closure was prompted by heavy surf knocking a wooden crossbeam into the ocean. Consequently, visitors could only pass a point about halfway between Fisherman's restaurant and Lifeguard Tower Zero.

With the sudden and varying water condition, the danger is greater and the risk is higher.

Although authorities patrol the area, lifeguards could practically do nothing when you are miles away from them and from the shore. By the time they get to you, it may be too late.

Safety should be a primary concern. However, if your accident was caused by the negligent act of another, you may sue for damages by hiring a personal injury lawyer.

How to Negotiate Your Personal Injury Claims

The article “Los Angeles Personal Injury claims” underscores the need for lawyers in a personal injury claim. This is a step-by-step guide for victims out to make their claim.
The article describes the actions and the details that will help you negotiate a claim. There are some points that a victim should remember when preparing for his claim. First, he should take down all details relating to the event that led to his injury; second, he should include medical and other expenses including expected pay loss, damage to vehicle, etc. before the claim is submitted.
Before agreeing to negotiate, a victim must take the services of a personal injury lawyer who will help him prepare his case. A client must remember that he should always negotiate from a position of strength, which means that he should build up a strong case before negotiating with insurance companies. And to do this, he needs a competent and experienced personal injury attorney.
During negotiations, insurance companies usually offer a nominal amount as settlement. This is often done after evaluating a claim. Without preparation, a victim could end up with a raw deal. However, a victim can always reject an offer if he has a strong case against the offender and this is where negotiations really start.
In Los Angeles, a victim should work for the speedy resolution of his claim in consideration of the statute of limitations. To file a claim, a victim has only two years from the date of injury with which to file a claim. But if the offender is a government agency, the limit is only six months.
This article will be useful and beneficial to people who are planning to file personal injury cases.
